Scottie Scheffler reacts to Louisville golfer who drove with a fake policeman dragging along his car

Scottie Scheffler said it was hard not to laugh at the person who imitated his arrest incident in Louisville. However, he added that he hadn't seen the video yet.

Scheffler is at Pinehurst No. 2 this week for the US Open, which is set to begin on Thursday, June 13. Ahead of the championship, a video went viral on the internet where someone re-enacted his arrest situation in Louisville. The person used a mannequin dressed in a police uniform, which he was dragging with his car. The clip became quite popular online and caught the attention of many players as well.

On Tuesday, June 11, during the pre-event press conference, Scottie Scheffler was asked about his reaction to the video, which Xander Schauffele had also mentioned during his press conference.

"It's kind of hard not to laugh about the guy who did that." he said. "But I didn't see any videos. Xander did tell me about it yesterday. He got a pretty good kick out of it. But yeah, I think that's part of just having good friends. If all they did was make fun of me, it would be different. It wouldn't be as fun."

He added that they were great friends, and one has to be able to laugh at oneself too.

"Like I said, I don't love reliving it, but sometimes being able to laugh about it is a good skill, too. When they make jokes, it's definitely hard not to laugh, especially with some of my good buddies, they're pretty funny with it," he added.

With whom is Scottie Scheffler paired for the US Open 2024 for the first two rounds?

The trio will begin their round on Thursday, June 13, at Pinehurst No. 2 from the first tee at 1:14 pm ET. For the second round, they will tee off early in the morning on Friday, June 14, at 7:29 am ET.

As per the odds, the winner of the US Open is likely to come from this group. Scottie Scheffler is once again the tournament favorite with +300 odds, while McIlroy and Schauffele follow him at +1000 and +1200 odds, respectively.

Schauffele won the PGA Championship last month, ending his nearly two-year title drought. McIlroy has also been in good form, with two wins this season.
