Scottie Scheffler's 2024 PGA Tour season earnings breakdown: World No.1 earned $12,000 per shot and $830,000 per round

2024 has undoubtedly been a remarkable year for Scottie Scheffler. The American golfer has dominated the PGA Tour this season. Not only did he win the second green jacket of his career, but he also secured a gold medal at the Paris Olympics.

Scottie Scheffler earned $29.2 million from his impressive season on the PGA Tour, including six victories, two runner-up finishes, and other outstanding performances this year. Moreover, he continued his on-course dominance in the FedEx Cup playoffs, winning the Tour Championship, further adding a significant $25 million to his 2024 earnings.

In addition to that, Scheffler topped the Comcast Business Tour Top-10 rankings and earned $8 million in bonuses, bringing his total earnings for the season to $62.2 million (via Sportica).

Breaking that amount down, Scheffler has played in 19 events so far this season, which means he has earned approximately $3.3 million per tournament. Moreover, if we look at his earnings per round, it would be around $830K, about $12K per shot, and $3K per minute on the course, assuming each round is around 4.5 hours long, as reported by CBS golf analyst Kyle Porter.

However, that’s not all, as the PGA Tour has yet to announce the winner of the $50 million Player Impact Program. The winner will receive $10 million.

Scottie Scheffler has won four signature events this season, each with prize money exceeding $3.5 million. He also won the Masters, earning $3.6 million in prize money, and received $4.5 million for his incredible triumph at The Players Championship.

According to the PGA Tour, Scottie Scheffler's career earnings from the circuit sum up to $71,507,269. He now ranks third on the career money leaders list, trailing Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods.

The 15-time Major winner Woods tops the career money list on the PGA Tour with impressive earnings of $120,999,166, followed by McIlroy, who has earned $90,989,348. Notably, career earnings do not include the FedEx Cup bonus. With his FedEx Cup bonus, Scottie Scheffler's total career earnings amount to $96,793,586, as reported by USA Today.

Scottie Scheffler joined the PGA Tour in 2020 and has since won 13 tournaments on the circuit. He has also won two Majors in his career, both of them coming at the Masters Tournament.

The 28-year-old also won the Olympic gold at the Paris Games.
