Sir Nick Faldo takes a dig at LIV golf, claims Tyrrell Hatton is playing a “proper tournament” with DP World entry

Tyrrell Hatton's debut season in LIV Golf has treated him well as the English golfer registered a win at LIV Golf Nashville in June this year. While Hatton has not won a single event since then, he will look to win the 2024 British Masters on the DP World Tour, slated to take place from August 29 to September 1.

Since it became known that Tyrrell Hatton would be a part of the British Masters, there was a lot of excitement to see him play. Recently, Sir Nick Faldo also spoke highly about Hatton's decision to play at the British Masters. Taking a shot at LIV Golf, Sir Nick said (via Golf Monthly):

"I'm delighted. Wants to come play a proper tournament."

Further, Sir Nick Faldo also appreciated Tyrrell Hatton for having a strong desire to make the Ryder Cup team and said:

"I'm delighted - he had such a significant part of the last Ryder Cup, I think he wants it - there is a path for them to do it. It's not for me to really be involved. If a guy wants to make the Ryder Cup Team, good luck to him. Find a way to get on it," Faldo said.

In the 2023 Ryder Cup, Tyrrell Hatton was an instrumental player for Team Europe. Hatton amassed 3.5 points in the four games he played and helped Europe win the 2023 Ryder Cup. It will be very interesting to see if Hatton can make a place for himself in Team Europe for the 2025 edition of the Ryder Cup.
