US Solheim Cup captain Stacy Lewis and US Ryder Cup captain Zach Johnson have enjoyed decent success playing in the biennial events. The golfers have made successful appearances in the tournament in the past.

Lewis played for the American team at the Solheim Cup for four consecutive years since making her debut in 2011. She served as an assistant captain in 2021 when Pat Hurst was the captain.

As a player, she had a 5-10-1 record at the Solheim Cup and was the part of winning team twice (2015, 2017). Lewis was picked up by the captain in 2019 but she withdrew from the competition due to her injury and served as an unofficial assistant captain.

Stacy Lewis and Zach Johnson's career

Stacy Lewis was born on February 16, 1985, in Toledo, Ohio. However, she grew up in Texas at The Woodlands. She graduated from The Woodlands High School in 2003.

Lewis suffered from scoliosis and was diagnosed at the age of 11. Unfortunately, she missed her collegiate career while recovering from her surgery.

Stacy Lewis played as an amateur golfer at the University of Arkansas and won the NCAA Division I Championship. She was selected as the Amateur of the Year and also received the National Golf Coaches Association Dinah Shore trophy.

Lewis started her professional career in 2008 and qualified for the US Women's Open. Her first professional victory came at the 2011 Kraft Nabisco Championship. She won four tournaments in 2012 and became the first American golfer to win the LPGA Player of the Year award.

She has won 14 professional events in her career including 13 on the LPGA Tour and won one on the LPGA of Japan Tour. Lewis has won two Major events including the Chevron Championship and Women's British Open.

Zach Johnson was born on February 24, 1976, in Iowa City but was raised in Cedar Rapids. Growing up he used to play basketball, baseball, and football before he took up golf at the age of 10.

Johnson did his school at Regis High School and then enrolled at Drake University in Des Moines. He started his professional career in 1998 and played on the Korn Ferry Tour. He won his first PGA Tour career at the BellSouth Classic in 2004 when registered a stroke victory over Mark Hensby.

Johnson has won 26 professional events including 12 PGA Tour events, two European Tour events and two Korn Ferry Tour events. He has also won two major events including the 2007 Masters and 2015 Open Championship.
