Steph Curry praises ‘chef’ Min Woo Lee for recreating the GSW star’s celebration - “You can do what you want”

Min Woo Lee had an outstanding performance during the second round of the 2024 PGA Championship, including several spectacular plays. His celebration even drew praise from National Basketball Association star Stephen Curry.

Lee posted on the stories of his personal Instagram account a video clip in which he is seen managing to send the ball three times straight into the hole from long distance (known in golf as hole out). Min Woo Lee is also seen celebrating by counting 1, 2, 3 with his fingers, Stephen Curry style.

Min Woo Lee also included the question "Did I do it right @stephencurry30." The NBA star was quick to respond, posting on his own Instagram stories the same reel with the following caption:

"A+ for effort but you can do what you want when you hole out 3 times in a row."

Stephen Curry is a point guard of the NBA's Golden State Warriors (GSW), but he is also a well-known golf fan, with scratch golf level as an amateur. Curry has a close relationship with the sport and several of its stars. He also regularly participates in celebrity tournaments.

Min Woo Lee is known for presenting himself on his social networks as 'part time golfer, full time chef', hence he is known by the nickname 'Chef'. He even uses the term 'cook' or 'let him cook' to refer to his success on the courses.

Another term he calls himself is 'Dr. Chipping' which refers to his ability to make plays like his three hole outs in the second round.

Lee's three hole outs were key to his 5 under 66 score on Friday. The first came on the 12th hole (third of the round as he started on the 10th tee) when he holed out his ball by chipping it from 24 feet in the left rough.

The second came on the 16th hole (7th of the round), when he used one of his wedges to drive his ball 35 yards straight into the hole from the left rough. Finally, he holed out his ball on the 2nd (11th of the round), with a 28-yard drive from the left fairway.
