The Open Championship 2024 final field after the Scottish Open

The Open Championship, the fourth and final major of the 2024 season, will be played at Royal Troon Golf Club in Scotland beginning Thursday, July 18. The field was completed with the final three tickets awarded at the Genesis Scottish Open.

Richard Mansell, Alex Norén and Aaron Rai were the three players who filled the final spots at The Open Championship. All three played exceptional fourth rounds at the Scottish Open to earn their tickets.

England's Aaron Rai carded a fourth round of 7-under at the Renaissance Club to climb 27 places up the leaderboard to T4. Fellow Englishman Richard Mansell carded the best fourth round of the tournament (9 under) to move up 46 places to T10.

Meanwhile, Sweden's Alex Noren played the fourth round of the Scottish Open on 5 under. This moved him up 17 places on the leaderboard to T10 and secured his place in the field for The Open Championship.

The qualification process for The Open Championship consisted of two modalities, the Open Qualifying Series (with 12 events around the world) and the Regional and Final Qualifying. The Scottish Open was the final event in the first category.
