Tiger Woods recently opened up about the specialty of his Sun Day Red clothing line. The American golfer launched his new brand, Sun Day Red, earlier this year after parting ways with Nike. He was seen wearing Sun Day Red apparel during major tournaments this year.
In a recently released video, Sun Day Red featured Woods discussing his brand’s clothing. The 15-time Major winner acknowledged that the best clothes are those that provide freedom and allow players to "perform at a higher level." He further emphasized that his brand's apparel is comfortable enough to help him succeed in golf tournaments.
"I think the perfect garment is nothing. It's about freedom and it's about not having restrictions, but it's if you get a garment that actually allows you to perform at a higher level than just in your birthday suit then I think that that's something that's powerful because at the end of the day to me, winning golf tournaments is important and I don't want anything to inhibit me from winning golf tournaments," Tiger Woods said.
Sun Day Red offers an exclusive collection of men's golf wear. From polos to pants, the collection includes a variety of outfits designed to offer the best options for players. However, since its launch, the Sun Day Red collection has faced criticism from fans for its high prices. The clothing items generally cost above $100.
When will fans see Tiger Woods sporting Sun Day Red on the greens?
Since the launch of Sun Day Red in February 2024, Tiger Woods has worn his brand’s clothing on the greens. However, he has played in just a handful of tournaments this year. he competed in five tournaments but withdrew from the Genesis Invitational due to illness. He participated in all four majors but only made the cut at the Masters, where he finished in 60th place.
Woods last played at The Open Championship, where he struggled to make the cut. Fans can next see him in action later this year at the Hero World Challenge.
After the second round of the 2024 Open Championship last month, Woods was asked about his next outing. In response, he mentioned that he would return to compete in the Bahamas and hinted at his appearance at the PNC Championship.
"I'm not going to play until then (Hero World Challenge). I'm going to just keep getting physically better and keep working on it. Hopefully just come back for our -- what is it, our fifth major, the Father/Son, so looking forward to it," Tiger Woods said.
The 2024 Hero World Challenge will take place from December 5 to 8 at Albany, while the PNC Championship is scheduled from December 19 to 22.
