“There's a little too much bling” – Jon Rahm gets candid about the LIV Golf Championship ring, says it ‘doesn’t fit’

Jon Rahm finished his incredible debut LIV Golf season on a high by clinching the season's Individual Championship. For this feat, he received a LIV Golf Championship ring, but unfortunately, it didn't fit any of his fingers.

On Sunday, September 15, Rahm carded a 4-under 66 in the final round of LIV Golf Chicago to finish at 11-under. He won his second title on the Saudi-backed circuit, beating Jon Niemann by a three-stroke margin. This win also resulted in him winning the LIV Golf Championship.

Following his win, Rahm revealed that the ring he received did not fit his fingers.

"It's too big for my pinky and too small for the other fingers," he said. "It's all good. I do have sausage fingers. We were trying to do the QR Code thing that Ben told me about, but there's a little bit too much bling bothering the camera."

Rahm added that he had won rings before for winning Pac-12 Championships. He mentioned that while it was weird to think about a ring instead of a trophy, it was special to him because he associated it with football, basketball, and other U.S. sports events.

"I feel like I'm that Americanized at this point," he continued. I don't know, it's special. I feel like in a weird sense, you're part of a select group that get to have a championship ring, which is not a possibility in other sports.
"In itself, I think it's just being able to wear what it represents. I think seeing it firsthand right away as soon as we finished what this means is very special," he added.
