Morgane Metraux took a surprise lead in the 2024 Paris Olympics women's golf event at the end of Round 2. The Swiss golfer had missed out on playing in the Tokyo Olympics as she was focused on earning her LPGA Tour card.

However, she made a strong return at the Paris Olympics, stunning the golf world with her impressive performance in the second round. Metraux took the lead after 36 holes with a score of 8-under par, shooting a fabulous round of 66 on Friday, August 8.

Following her remarkable performance, Metraux shared her take in an interview with the media. She reflected on the condition of the golf course, noting how it helped her with her game.

"This is all very new for me. But it's very simple in a way in that you just have to hit the fairways and the greens here. If you don't, it's going to be difficult. I like it because it's just in such good conditions and it's just a great course. If you hit the good shots, you're going to be rewarded, and vice versa," Metraux said via Golf Digest.
