Paige Spiranac shares her updated handicap, says she is ‘proud’

Paige Spiranac recently shared her handicap with her fans. In a heartfelt message, she mentioned that this was the first time in many years she had maintained a handicap for the entire year. She added that she was proud of her comeback after losing interest in practice following her departure from competitive golf.

Spiranac is a former professional golfer and a social media personality. She is one of the most popular figures in golf, with over four million followers on Instagram. Besides, she has a separate account named Paigeonthecourse, which is fully dedicated to her golf journey.

On Sunday, October 27, Paige Spiranac shared on Instagram that her handicap was +3.9. She also posted a heartfelt note about her journey.

"This has been my first full year keeping my handicap in years," she wrote. "After I stopped playing competitive golf I had no interest in practicing or keeping my score. I had a very complicated relationship with tournament golf because my score determined my self worth. It was unhealthy and took years to overcome.
"I’m proud to say I’ve finally gotten to place where I love keeping my score and tracking my progress! It’s been fun to practice, work on my game and then put it to the test⛳️"

Spiranac turned professional in 2015 but played only until 2016 before deciding to quit at the age of 23. She won just one title on the Cactus Tour, defeating then World No. 1 amateur Hannah O'Sullivan. However, her failure to earn an LPGA Tour card and the associated pressure led her to retire early.

Since her retirement, Paige Spiranac has been active on social media, and it has worked out well for her. She has made a name for herself online and has a significant following on platforms like Instagram, X, YouTube, and TikTok. She was also named Maxim's Sexiest Woman of the Year in 2022.
