Tiger Woods' ex-coach takes dig at President Joe Biden after Donald Trump's assassination attempt
On Saturday, former US President Donald Trump suffered an assassination attempt as a 20-year-old gunman attempted to assassinate him. This attempted assassination took place at Trump's rally in Pennsylvania.
Since this attempted assassination, several notable celebrities from different walks of life have sent messages of support for Donald Trump. However, Tiger Woods' ex-coach Hank Haney used this incident to take a shot at President Joe Biden for not speaking on the matter.
Quote tweeting a post questioning Biden's silence, Haney wrote:
"Not surprising, he doesn’t even know what day it is."
President Biden spoke about the attempted assassination of Donald Trump within an hour of the attack. In a statement, the US President called the attack 'sick.' He mentioned that there is no place for such attacks in the United States, and also added the nation must unite as one to condone this attack.
Former US President Donald Trump challenged Joe Biden to a charity game of golf a few days ago
The presidential race between Joe Biden and Donald Trump is heating up. Week after week, both candidates are doing their best to campaign. While the duo had a debate not long ago, Donald Trump challenged President Biden to a game of golf for charity.
Trump's move of challenging President Biden came after the duo discussed golf in their widely watched debate in Atalanta on June 27th. During a rally at the Trump National Doral Golf Club in Miami, the former US President issued a challenge to the current President and said:
"I'm also officially challenging Crooked Joe to an 18-hole golf match right here on Doral's Blue Monster, considered one of the greatest tournament golf courses anywhere in the world, one of the great courses of the world."
Further, Trump also agreed to give President Biden 10 strokes aside if they do end up playing. He also added he would donate money to a charity of the President's choice if he loses. The former US President added:
"And I will even give Joe Biden 10 strokes aside, 10 strokes, that's a lot, that means 20 strokes in case you don't play golf. I will give him 10 strokes aside and if he wins I will give the charity of his choice, any charity that he wants, $1 million. And I'll bet you he doesn't take the offer because he's all talk," Trump said (via NUCLRGOLF on X).
After Trump issued this challenge, President Biden's spokesperson James Singer said the US President would prefer challenging Trump on issues like creating more jobs, taking a stand against Russia and Vladimir Putin, and abiding by the law.
