Tiger Woods and his son, Charlie, officially committed to play in the PNC Championship

Tiger Woods has officially committed to playing in the PNC Championship at the Ritz Carlton Golf Club in Florida a week from today. The 15-time Major champion will once again team up with his 15-year-old son Charlie.

The information was released by the PGA Tour on its social media profiles. Woods' participation was in doubt until a few days ago when he answered questions on the subject during his press conference prior to the Hero World Challenge. At the time, he didn't give any confirmation.

At the same press conference, Tiger Woods stated that he is not yet at a level that allows him to compete with the best players in the world. Tiger will arrive at the event in the midst of his recovery from his sixth spinal surgery, which he underwent last September.

"I'm not tournament sharp yet. I'm still not there," Woods said (via PGA Tour).

This will be Tiger Woods' fifth appearance in the PNC Championship, always with Charlie. In four previous appearances, Team Woods has always finished in the top 10, with a second-place finish as the best result.

The second-place finish came in 2021, when Charlie and Tiger Woods finished at 25 under, two strokes behind John Daly and his son John Daly II. They finished seventh in 2020, tied for eighth in 2022 and tied for fifth in 2023.
