Tiger Woods' team enters inaugural 2025 TGL Season with worst odds to win

Tiger Woods' much-anticipated TGL is less than 65 days away from its inaugural edition. However, his team is nowhere among the favorites for the first season, according to the oddsmakers.

The TGL is a tech-infused league co-owned by Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and TMRW Sports CEO Mike McCarley. The first-ever season was supposed to start in 2024 but will now begin January 7 next year at the newly constructed SoFi Center on the Palm Beach State College campus in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

According to Golf Digest, Boston Common Golf is the favorite to win the first-ever TGL, with odds of +350. Along with Rory McIlroy, this team is comprised of Hideki Matsuyama, Keegan Bradley, and Adam Scott. All four have been in great form and have delivered some incredible performances this season.

Tiger Woods' Jupiter Links GC, at +600, is at the bottom of the odds lists. The team also features Kevin Kisner, Max Homa, and Tom Kim. All three players have struggled to perform this season. Woods missed the cut in three of the four Major championships and remained out of action as he took care of his physical health.

Kisner had one of the most challenging seasons, making just five cuts in 21 starts. He finished 198th in the FedEx Cup and further slipped to 201st in the Fall Season. Homa missed just four cuts this year but didn't secure more than three top-ten finishes. As for Kim, he missed five cuts but did achieve a runner-up finish among his two made cuts.

New York Golf Club is the second favorite at +400 odds. The team looks quite strong, featuring Matt Fitzpatrick, Rickie Fowler, Xander Schauffele, and Cameron Young.

While Schauffele has been on an amazing run with two major championship wins and multiple top-ten finishes, Young and Fitzpatrick have also recorded several top-ten finishes. Fowler is the only player of the four to have struggled this season, but he showed glimpses of returning to form with a T4 finish at the Zozo Championship.
