Tommy Fleetwood details how the experience of being a caddy can help golfers become better players

Tommy Fleetwood is playing at the Genesis Scottish Open that started on July 11 at the Renaissance Club. After his Thursday round, Tommy Fleetwood joined a press conference, where he shared his valuable insights on being a caddie for in a golf career.

Fleetwood was asked about his thoughts on the experience of caddying for his stepson. In response, he emphasized the fact that a bagman is able to see a golf shot objectively, not being directly involved in it. He added that it was a great experience and wished he could have the same objectivity with his own shot-making.

“I definitely felt like, because I wasn't hitting the shot I have no feeling towards any golf shot. So when you caddying you just see what is the right golf shot, probably, or you give your opinion or you see things very clearly for what they are, because it's not like I'm worried about hitting it left right short long whatever it is. So you just say what it is,” Tommy Fleetwood said. (1:23-1:50)
So I did enjoy that part of it. I think the way I spoke to Oscar I would love to speak to myself like that a lot more often. And I realized how hard caddying can be at times but I don't really want to tell people that,” Fleetwood added. (1:50-2:06)

Currently, Tommy Fleetwood is tied at T13 with Rory McIlroy and others. His score stands at 5-under.
