Tony Finau’s wife responds to LIV Golf rumors - “The last thing I need is more drama”
Amid Tony Finau's LIV Golf rumors, the golfer's wife, Alayna Finau, dropped a new TikTok video. Through her new TikTok, Alayna gestured to the ongoing drama, stating that this was the last thing she needed.
On Monday, December 2, Finau pulled out of the upcoming Hero World Challenge after being announced in the field a few days ago. This led to rumors that the move might be an indication of him moving to LIV Golf for the new season.
Following Finau's withdrawal from the Albany event, his wife, Alayna, shared a TikTok.
"My life is complicated enough. The last thing I need is more drama," she said in the video.
Finau was last seen at the Presidents Cup, where he finished with a 2-2-0 scoreline in Team USA's win over the Internationals in Montreal. He hasn't played competitive golf since then. Notably, he was set to compete in the inaugural Black Desert Championship at his home in Utah but later dropped out because he was on coaching duties for his son's competition.
If Finau makes a LIV Golf switch, he has options to join several teams, including Legion XIII, owned by his friend Jon Rahm. Legion XIII has one spot vacant after Kieran Vincent lost his card. Other options include the Cleeks, Iron Heads, Stingers, and more. However, it will be interesting to see if Finau joins LIV or continues his journey on the PGA Tour.
