He managed scores of 66 and 67 in the third and fourth rounds, respectively. At the end of the final round, Woods finished with a scoring deficit of 14 to lift the trophy.
2) 2013 The Players Championship
Woods won the Players Championship for the second time in 2013 after tying for the lead to finish at a scoring deficit of 13.
He had a phenomenal start to the tournament, wrapping up the opening round at 67. He repeated the score in the second round of the tournament. In the third round, he managed a score of 71 and finished the final day at 70, for a total score of 275.
Tiger Woods won the tournament by two strokes, finishing ahead of David Lingmerth, Jeff Maggert, and Kevin Streelman.
3) 2000 The Players Championship
Tiger Woods' third-best performance at the Players Championship was in 2000 when he had a solo second finish. Hal Sutton won the tournament that year.
Woods finished with a scoring deficit of nine and was just one shot behind the champion. Sutton started with a score of 69 and maintained the score in the next two rounds. He played the last round of 71 to finish at 278. Sutton finished with a scoring deficit of 10, with a single stroke lead over Tiger Woods.
4) 2009 The Players Championship
In 2009, Tiger Woods had a solo finish in eighth position. He started the tournament with a score of 71 and scored 69 in the second. He finished the third round at 70 and recorded a fourth round of 73.
He finished with a score of 283 to wrap up with a scoring deficit of five to finish in eighth position. Henrik Stenson won the tournament in 2009.
5) 1999 The Players Championship
The 1999 Players Championship was held from March 25 to 28 at the iconic TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach. In the 26th edition of the tournament, Tiger Woods finished in the T10 position. He played a first round of 70, second of 71, and the last two of 75.
He finished in a seven-way tie at T10 alongside Mark Brooks, Mark Calcavecchia, Skip Kendall, Naomichi Ozaki, David Love III, and Joey Sindelar. David Duval won the tournament in 1999 and took home $900,000 in prize money.
