TV deal to players: Here are all things new for LIV Golf League
LIV Golf is back, giving fans more hope from the latest season of the tournament. The Saudi-backed circuit is led by legendary Australian golfer Greg Norman.
The tournament has attracted a major audience throughout the year, successfully organizing eight events in 2022. People are expecting a lot from the second season of the tournament. Here's what's new about LIV Golf 2023.
TV deal
LIV Golf has signed a television deal with The CW Network. Last year, all the events of the Saudi-backed series were streamed on their YouTube channel.
This year, however, they have signed a multi-year, revenue-sharing deal with the American network to present their tournaments in the country.
As per their contract, LIV Golf will not pay for airtime while the CW Network will not pay the league rights fees. The CW Network will present the Saturday and Sunday rounds on television while Friday's opening rounds will be streamed on the app.
For countries other than the USA, matches are available on the CW Network app.
