Viktor Hovland suffers a broken toe from a domestic accident

Following Scottie Scheffler, Viktor Hovland is another name to suffer an injury ahead of the 2025 season. The Norwegian star broke his toe in a domestic accident and posted a photograph of his X-ray on social media.

Hovland was last seen at the FedEx Cup playoffs and has since been out of action. While he is set to kickstart his new season with the Sentry, the first event of the year, he faces an injury scare just a few days before.

On Friday, December 27, Viktor Hovland took to Instagram to share the X-ray of his broken toe.

"Bed frame 1 – 0 me," he wrote in caption.

While Scheffler has confirmed his withdrawal from the Sentry, Hovland is still in the 60-player field. The six-time PGA Tour winner's post was located in Kapalua, the venue of the season's inaugural event.

Earlier, Scottie Scheffler's manager revealed that the World No. 1 golfer broke glass in his hand on Christmas and was forced to undergo surgery, resulting in his withdrawal from the Sentry.

How did Viktor Hovland perform this season?

Viktor Hovland played sixteen events on the PGA Tour and made thirteen cuts. However, he failed to have a great season, registering just two top-ten finishes. His T2 finish at the FedEx St. Jude Championship was his best result of the season.

Speaking of majors, it was a forgettable year for the Norwegian, as he missed the cut in three of the four tournaments. However, he secured a third-place finish at the PGA Championship.
