"I think failure is how you learn"- Brooks Koepka reveals the secret behind his victory

Brooks Koepka began the new year with a stunning victory at LIV Golf Orlando before ultimately joining the Masters competition. Surprisingly, he did exceptionally well at the Augusta competition, finishing second.

Koepka faced stiff competition from Jon Rahm at the major tournament, and the Spaniard eventually won the first major of the year. However, Brooks Koepka learnt from his mistakes at the Masters and won the PGA Championship.

In an interview with Golf Monthly, Koepka revealed the secret to his victory. He said:

"I've always learned more from the four times I've finished second than, I guess, the five times that I've won now. I think failure is how you learn. You get better from it. You realize what mistakes you've made."

Koepka revealed that if he wouldn't finish in the top five at the Masters, he would not have won the major at Oak Hills. He went on to say:

"I definitely wouldn't have won, I don't think, if that [The Masters] didn't happen. Definitely take it and keep using it going forward for each event, each major, any time I'm in contention."

Brooks Koepka started the PGA Championship with a score of 72 after making three bogeys and a birdie. In the second round, he made five birdies and one bogey to finish with a score of 66.

Koepka started the third round with two birdies and then went on to sink a bogey on the seventh hole. The LIV golfer made five birdies and a bogey to finish with a score of 66 and in the fourth round, he made seven birdies and four bogeys to wrap up with a score of 3-under of 67.

Brooks Koepka will also be competing in the US Open, which will be held from June 15 to 18 in Los Angeles. In his career, he has won three PGA Championships and two US Opens.
