WATCH: Bryson DeChambeau makes impressive birdie after awkward ball lands on chair at LIV Golf Greenbrier
During the first round of the LIV Golf Greenbrier, one of Bryson DeChambeau's shots landed on a chair. However, he successfully picked up a birdie from there.
On Friday, August 16, DeChambeau entered the Old White Course as the reigning champion. He shot a 2-under 68 in the opening round, concluding the day at T24, five strokes back.
DeChambeau made five birdies in his round, but the last one was particularly memorable. On the par-5 12th hole, his approach shot went a bit right, but it landed on the chair. However, despite that, he closed the hole with a birdie. Here's the clip:
When will Bryson DeChambeau tee off at the LIV Golf Greenbrier, Round 2?
Bryson DeChambeau is grouped with Danny Lee and Martin Kaymer for the second round of the LIV Golf Greenbrier. The trio will tee off on Saturday, August 17, from the seventh hole at 11:15 am ET in a shotgun start.
While DeChambeau is tied for 24th following the first round, Talor Gooch, Jason Kokrak, and Sebastián Muñoz took a one-shot lead after shooting 63. Gooch went bogey-free, picking up five birdies and an eagle on the first day at Greenbrier. Kokrak and Muñoz each made one bogey in their respective rounds.
Matt Jones, Richard Bland, Brooks Koepka, and Jon Rahm are tied for fourth at 6-under. Marc Leishman and Tyrrell Hatton are in a four-way tie for eighth place.
