WATCH - Bryson DeChambeau, others' dramatic reactions as the LIV star inch close to Breaking 50
Bryson DeChambeau had the team of Bob Does Sports on the latest episode of Break 50. This time, he and others came close to breaking 50 but fell just short of making history.
DeChambeau is a two-time major champion and recently competed in the LIV Golf Team Championship. However, besides being a brilliant golfer, he also runs a YouTube channel with over 1.5 million subscribers.
Recently, DeChambeau invited Bob Does Sports, another group of golf content creators, to the new episode of Break 50. After seventeen holes, they were 20-under and needed to sink the ball in just two shots on the par-5, eighteenth to break 50. They came close, but DeChambeau's shot fell short of the pin.
What followed were dramatic reactions from Bryson DeChambeau and the others. Here's the clip.
Will Bryson DeChambeau play at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship?
While several LIV golfers are set to compete in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, Bryson DeChambeau will not be participating in the event.
The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship will be played at the Old Course, St. Andrews, from October 3 to October 6. Jon Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton, David Puig, Eugenio Chacarra, Brooks Koepka, Patrick Reed, Pat Perez, Talor Gooch, Peter Uihlein, Dean Burmester, Branden Grace, Louis Oosthuizen, Matt Jones, and Hudson Swafford are among the fourteen LIV Golf professionals competing in the DP World Tour event.
As for Bryson DeChambeau, his LIV Golf campaign ended on an underwhelming note as his team, Crushers GC, crashed out of the Team Championship in the semifinals. The defending champions were the No. 1 seed and were one of the favorites to win the final event of the LIV season. However, the lowest-ranked Iron Heads GC pulled off an upset to advance to the finals.
In the finals, Ripper GC beat Iron Heads and 4Aces GC by three strokes to win their first-ever Team Championship. Crushers GC finished T7 in the standings after shooting 2-under in the finals.
Speaking of the season, DeChambeau had a memorable year as he won the US Open for the second time in his career, beating Rory McIlroy by one shot to claim his second major championship. Besides, he also finished runner-up at the PGA Championship and secured a T6 finish at the Masters Tournament.
The LIV Golf season, however, was quite the opposite for the 31-year-old golfer, as he went winless and finished eighth in the season standings. His T3 finish at LIV Golf Nashville was his best result on the Saudi-backed circuit this season.
