WATCH: Byeong Hun An left in tears after beating Tom Kim to Genesis Championship victory

Byeong Hun An won the DP World Tour’s 2024 Genesis Championship on October 27 at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club in South Korea. He scored 17 and beat Tom Kim to secure the triumph.

Following his win, An hugged his grandmother and cried. DP World Tour’s X page shared the video of the exchange and wrote:

“Celebrating victory with Grandma and family.”

An shot 67 in the opening round of the Genesis Championship with seven birdies. and eight in the second round to score 66. In the third and fourth rounds, he fired 71 and 67 with three and seven birdies, respectively. His score in the second round was lowest and his score in the third was 71, the highest. After the third round, he wasn't satisfied and shared (via DP World Tour):

“I struggled a little bit today. The last two rounds have been almost perfect. I didn't have many birdie chances out there and when I did, I would just miss it by a little bit. It was one of those days. It's golf. It's been great the last few days, it happens and hopefully better tomorrow."

"I don't think it can get any better," Byeong Hun An added. "I said at the start of the week that I would love to play with Tom in the final group on Sunday and hopefully one of us can come out on top.”

Byeong Hun An’s last DP World Tour event was the BMW PGA Championship, where he finished at T18 with a score of 11 under 277.
