WATCH: Caitlin Clark and Nelly Korda begin their campaign at the Annika LPGA Tournament

Caitlin Clark is at the Pelican Golf Club in Florida this Wednesday, November 13th, to play at the ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge Pro-Am event. Clark is in the same group as world number one Nelly Korda.

Clark and Korda teed off at 7:00 a.m. ET. Following that, the LPGA Tour posted a video on X (formerly Twitter) showing the duo's first tee shots. The video had garnered more than 11,000 views in less than an hour.

You can watch the video of Korda and Clark teeing off below:

Caitlin Clark's swing looked strong and fluid, although her tee shot appeared to have little height. As for Nelly Korda, she showed her usual top-notch swing and wide tee angle, as is her wont.

Clark finished her first professional season with several Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) records and the Rookie of the Year award. After her last official game in 2024, she said she would devote time to golf.

It was subsequently announced that Clark would participate in the LPGA Tour's ANNIKA driven by Greenbrier Pro-Am event, playing with world number one Nelly Korda. Tournament host and golf legend Annika Sorenstam, speaking about Clark, said (via Playing Through),

"I have been following Caitlin’s career during college and now on the WNBA stage, and what she is doing to bring attention to women’s sports both on and off the court is outstanding. I’m excited to meet Caitlin and for her to join us at Pelican Golf Club in November in what will be an exciting week for women’s sports."

Caitlin Clark's tee shot almost hit the crowd

The WNBA's Indiana Fever star joked Tuesday that her main goal during the pro-am event was not to hit anyone. Uncannily, that almost came to be.

A video shared on X by Golfweek's Beth Ann Nichols shows Clark hitting a tee shot that sailed straight into the crowd to her left. Other users also posted videos from different angles showing the moment. It is not known if the ball hit anyone.

Daniels also reported on the large crowd at the course to see Clark's performance in the ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge's Pro-Am event. The journalist said it was the largest crowd she had ever seen at an event of this nature.

The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge officially begins on Thursday, November 14. It is the final event of the LPGA Tour's 2024 regular season. The official tour schedule concludes one week later with the CME Group Tour Championship.
