Casey Jarvis missed out on winning a car at the 2024 Genesis Championship. The South African golfer played at the DP World Tour event, which concluded on Sunday, October 27, at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club in Korea. The tournament offered a special prize for any player making a hole-in-one.
Jarvis came very close to winning a car as a prize for himself and his caddie by making the hole-in-one. He took a shot, and the ball went high before landing close to the hole. He missed it by just a few inches.
DP World Tour shared the video of Jarvis's shot on its X (formerly Twitter) account, writing:
"Casey Jarvis was THIS CLOSE to winning a car for him and his caddie."
Byeong Hun An won the 2024 Genesis Championship. He started his outing at the Genesis Championship with a round of 67, followed by a second round of 66. He shot 71 in the third round and concluded the game with a final-round 67.
An tied for the lead with Tom Kim at 17-under after four rounds and shot a birdie to win the tournament in a playoff. Kim shot four rounds of 68, 69, 67, and 67, and tied for the lead
Ricardo Gouveia finished in third place, Antoine Rozner in fourth, and Guido Migliozzi shot 65 in the final round, jumping 13 spots on the leaderboard to finish in fifth place. Casey Jarvis finished in the three-way tie for sixth.

Casey Jarvis had an impressive performance at the Genesis Championship. He teed off for the tournament on Thursday, October 24, with a round of 67 with four birdies on the front nine and another four on the back, along with three bogeys, for a round of 5-under 67. He maintained shape in the second round, shooting two back-to-back bogeys on the first two holes before adding three birdies on the front nine. He made four birdies and a bogey on the back nine for a 4-under 68.
However, after two good rounds, Jarvis struggled in the third round. He started the game on Saturday, October 26, with a bogey on the first hole before a birdie on the fourth. He made two birdies and two bogeys on the front nine and two birdies and three bogeys on the back nine for a 1-over 73. He shot 4-under 68 in the final round with six birdies and two bogeys and finally tied for sixth place with Guido Migliozzi and Francesco Laporta.
