Davis Thompson shared a heartfelt moment with his wife, Holly Grace, as he celebrated his maiden PGA Tour event at the 2024 John Deere Classic. The American golfer registered a four-stroke victory over Michael Thorbjornsen, Luke Clanton, and C.T. Pan.
Thompson was in the lead as he entered the final round and shot a 64 on Sunday, finishing with a total score of -28. He broke the previous lowest winning score of -27 set by Michael Kim in 2018. He made a par on the final hole to secure the victory.
As he completed the round, Davis Thompson was greeted by his caddie, who hugged him and congratulated him on his maiden PGA Tour win. His wife, Holly Grace, was also there to celebrate and hugged him. The couple shared a heartfelt moment while celebrating their win. Thompson had tears in his eyes as he was congratulated by his wife.

Davis Thompson's wife initially did not travel with him for the John Deere Classic as she had to attend a wedding. However, she made it to the final round to see him win the tournament.
The couple tied the knot in 2023 after dating for three years. They met during their college days. In November 2022, Thompson proposed to her, and the couple planned their wedding for December 2023.
However, Holly's mother was battling cancer, and they wanted her to be part of the wedding, so they moved the ceremony to May 2023. The pair tied the knot before their family and close friends on May 27, 2023.

Following his incredible victory at the 2024 John Deere Classic, Davis Thompson got emotional while talking to CBS Sports reporter Amanda Balionis. He spoke about his wife and expressed his happiness that she could make it to see him win.
Speaking of his wife, Thompson said (via CBS Sports on X):
"Just seeing my wife means a lot. I just love her so much and I'm so thankful she was able to make it. Just tried to stay present all day and went it finally went in, just a sign of relief."
"It's great, I've been working hard this year, it was ok for a while and I kinda got going this month, played well last week and kinda kept it rolling this week and was able to get the win," he added.
Holly Grace was with him when he won his first professional tournament on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2022. Thompson registered a one-stroke victory at the Rex Hospital Open, a Korn Ferry Tour event, to claim his maiden professional win.
