WATCH: ESPN coverage hilariously cuts to a turtle while Brian Harman waits to putt out at PGA Championship round 1
The ESPN producer did Brian Harman dirty by immediately cutting to a turtle when the golfer was waiting to putt during the first round of the PGA Championship.
On Thursday, May 16, Harman carded a 1-over 72 in the opening round of the PGA Championship and was sitting 10 strokes back. Over the years, he has often come under scrutiny for his slow play. This time, the producer did something that left many fans in splits and wondering if it was done deliberately.
It happened on the par-4 sixth hole when Brian Harman was waiting to putt. As another group was hitting a tee shot nearby, he and his group decided to wait for them to proceed, as the crowd could cause a disturbance. While the coverage initially focused on Harman, the camera suddenly switched to a turtle resting on a rock.
Although it remains unknown whether it was a deliberate attempt or just a co-incident, it did no help for Brian Harman, who already has the image of a slow player.
