WATCH: International Team welcomed by roaring crowd ahead of Presidents Cup round 3

The 2024 Presidents Cup began on a tough note for the International Team after Team USA pulled off a clean sweep on Day 1. However, Day 2 witnessed the Mike Weir-led International Team make a brilliant comeback as they managed to pull off their second-ever clean sweep in the event's history.

Before Round 3, the official X handle of the Presidents Cup uploaded a video in which the International Team was seen being welcomed by a roaring crowd at the Royal Montreal Golf Club.

The reason the International Team's performance in Round 2 was historic was because the second round was a foursome session, and the International Team had not won a foursome session at the Presidents Cup since 2005. The day for the Mike Weir-led team began with Hideki Matsuyama and Sungjae Im beating Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele.

Next, International Team's veteran golfer Adam Scott paired up with Taylor Pendrith to beat Team USA's Sahith Theegala and Collin Morikawa. In the third match, Christiaan Bezuidenhout and Jason Day beat Max Homa and Brian Harman 1 up in a match that was evenly contested.

The fourth and fifth matches for the International Team were won by the pairs of Corey Conners / Mackenzie Hughes and Byehong Un An / Si Woo Kim, who beat Wyndham Clark / Tony Finau and Scottie Scheffler / Russell Henley, respectively. It's important to note that Tom Kim was made to sit out in Round 2.
