WATCH: Max Homa downs a beer during PGA Tour chief's speech at the Presidents Cup

On Sunday, September 29, Max Homa and his teammates scripted the USA’s record win at the Presidents Cup. The visitors posted an 18.5-11.5 win over the International team, registering their tenth straight victory at the biennial event.

Following Team USA’s historic win, PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan gave a congratulatory speech to the winning team. Homa, however, couldn’t wait to celebrate as cameras spotted him downing a beer during Monahan’s speech.

Meanwhile, Homa had his reasons for doing this.

"Last guy on the course today. Had to make up for lost time," he wrote on X.

Earlier, Team USA entered the final day of the Presidents Cup with an 11-7 lead and were firm favorites to retain their title. The visitors won six of the twelve singles matches, while the International team won just three and halved the other three.

Homa was the last to finish, beating Mackenzie Hughes 2&1 to take the team score to 18.5.
