It was a dramatic win for the Colombian golfer. He was in the lead after the third round, but the final round was nothing short of a roller coaster. Thomas, Echavarria, and Greyserman were all in contention to win the title until the very last moment.
Greyserman made a birdie on the 14th, getting closer to the title. But Echavarria soon made a birdie on the 16th to level up with the American golfer. However, on the final few holes, Greyserman made pars and settled for second place, while Thomas shot a birdie on the 18th, tying with Echavarria.
Nonetheless, ultimately, the Medellin-born star won the tournament by one stroke after making the winning birdie on the 18th. Thomas and Greyserman tied for second place at 19-under.
