WATCH: Richard Bland, one of the last few golfers to use a 7-wood, shows off his incredible skill at LIV Golf UK event

Richard Bland is a veteran on the professional golf circuit. Since turning professional in 1996, Bland has competed in several prestigious events around the world and is currently making a name for himself on the Saudi-backed LIV Golf.

Ahead of the LIV Golf United Kingdom event, Bland was pictured practicing at the JCB Golf and Country Club. What was unique about Bland's game during the session was the fact that he was using a 7-wood. This makes the 51-year-old English golfer one of the rare golfers who still use this particular equipment.

During an interview in 2022, Bland spoke in detail about the Stealth 7-Wood in his bag. At the time, Bland mentioned he used this club to give himself more options on the golf course. He also spoke about using a 3-iron depending on the course conditions. He was quoted as saying (via the PGA Tour):

"I’ve got a (Stealth) 7-wood, which I recently got. It’s just to give myself more options. I like to play with four wedges if I can, but I’ve got a 3-iron, as well. If I feel like it’s windy, maybe there’s a couple shots I need to hit 3-iron, because a 7-wood is not going to do it. Yeah, it’s just having options, really."

Richard Bland will head into the LIV Golf UK event after finishing T14 at the LIV Golf Andalucía. The LIV Golf UK event is set to be held between July 26 and July 28.
