At the 2024 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, Irish professional Rory McIlroy finished T3. In the four rounds of golf held at the Yas Links, McIlroy scored 67-67-69-64 to tie along with Norwegian professional golfer Thorbjørn Olesen and English professional golfer Matt Wallace.
After the conclusion of the tournament, the DP World Tour shared a video of McIlroy on their official X handle. In the video, McIlroy can be seen hitting a shot, and a drone is seen following the ball hit by the Irish professional golfer.

Overall, McIlroy's time at the 2024 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship saw him play some good golf. In Round 1 of the competition, McIlroy shot six birdies and one bogey to finish the round with a score of 67. In Round 2, McIlroy bettered on the birdies as he shot eight but also shot a double bogey on the par-3 17th hole, where he scored a bogey in the earlier round.
The third round saw the 4-time Major championship winner begin with a birdie on the first hole and a double bogey on the last hole. However, it's also worth noting that he managed to score six birdies in this round. McIlroy's best round in the tournament was the fourth round.
In the last round, which was played on Sunday, Rory McIlroy scored nine birdies in total. While he also shot a bogey on the par-5 7th hole, McIlroy's nine birdies in the fourth round helped him score 64 in total, thus making it his best round of the tournament.
