Watch: Scottie Scheffler eyes his first-ever US Open title as he practices his swing at Oakmont

Scottie Scheffler is preparing for the 2025 U.S. Open, set to take place from June 12-15 at Oakmont Country Club. The World No. 1 has already won three titles this season and recently skipped the RBC Canadian Open to focus on the year’s third Major.

He last played at the Memorial Tournament, where he claimed victory with a 10-under-par finish. Scheffler is now looking to carry that momentum into Oakmont, one of the toughest courses in the U.S.

Ahead of the event, the U.S. Open’s official X handle posted a video of Scheffler practicing his swing, captioning it:

"Up close on Oakmont’s range with World No. 1, Scottie Scheffler. Could watch this all day."

Scheffler is coming off a strong win at the PGA Championship, where he finished five shots ahead of Bryson DeChambeau, Harris English and Davis Riley. It was the largest margin of victory at the PGA since Rory McIlroy’s win in 2012.

Scheffler also became the first player since Seve Ballesteros to win each of his first three Majors by three strokes or more.

While he had three straight top-10 finishes at the U.S. Open from 2021 to 2023, he struggled in 2024, ending in a tie for 41st. With the challenging Oakmont layout ahead, Scheffler will be aiming to return to form and win the tournament.
