"It's been a long year," - Scottie Scheffler tries to sum up his incredible season post the FedEx Cup win

During the winner's press conference, Scottie Scheffler reflected on his season. He said he didn't have words to describe his year.

"It's been a long year," he said. "It's been a very fun year. I think emotionally right now I'm pretty drained. So I'm looking forward to going home and getting rest for a week or so before I start prepping for the Presidents Cup because that's a tournament that I really want us to go out there and win.
"I really don't know how to put it into words. It's been a very eventful year but it's been really fun. You had the one weird spot there at Valhalla, which -- I just don't really know what to say about it, but everything else has been pretty special," he added.

The 27-year-old didn't miss a cut this season and recorded 16 top-10 finishes. He won seven titles, including the Masters Tournament, the Players Championship, and the Tour Championship.

Scheffler's remaining wins also came in Signature events, earning him substantial paychecks. Last month, he claimed the Olympic gold medal in Paris before winning the FedEx Cup this Sunday.

Scottie Scheffler's official earnings this season reached $29,228,357, breaking his record from last year. He also earned a $25 million bonus for the FedEx Cup title and an additional $8 million for ranking first in the Comcast Business Tour Top 10. This has brought his annual earnings to $62.2 million, which will increase once the PIP bonus is announced later this year.
