Scottie Scheffler expressed excitement about playing at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games last month
Scottie Scheffler's 2024 season has been one of his best years in professional golf. His form is evidenced by the fact that he won six events including a Major championship this year and it puts him in a great position to win a gold medal in Paris.
The golfer recently expressed excitement about playing in Paris in a blog after winning the 2024 Travelers Championship. Scheffler stated that the 2024 Olympics will be very special. Explaining the reason, he said (via Sky):
"I think the Olympics is going to be very special. Any time you're able to represent your country and wear the flag is something very few people get to experience, and I'm very proud to be representing the USA. I'm very grateful as that's something I've been looking forward to for a long time and it will be very special going over there and competing with the other three guys. Hopefully, we'll be able to bring home some medals for the USA."
Scheffler concluded by saying that the team around him has done a solid job of getting on him when his attitude wasn't where it should be. The American also had words of praise for his caddie Teddy Scott. He said that Scott and he have been tough this year and that it's a lot of fun.
