WATCH: Tom Kim drives with a kid’s driver; goes long

Tom Kim will tee off this week for the PGA Tour event, the Shriners Children's Open. Before that, Kim went to the National Car Rental PGA Jr. Championship and tried taking shots with a kid’s driver. The shots went long and covered yards.

The video of Kim taking golf shots was posted by the PGA of America’s X page on 16 October. In the video, he wore a white polo and white shorts, and the golfer used a youth driver. With that, he first shot up to 212 yards, then up to 226 yards, and finally up to 256 yards. The post also carried a caption:

“We put a youth driver in Tom Kim's hands to see how far he could hit it. The results did not disappoint,” the poster wrote.

Tom Kim will play the Shriners Children's Open from 17 to 20 October at the TPC Summerlin. He will tee off with Matt McCarty and Kevin Yu at 3:18 pm ET on the first tee.

Also, Kim returns to the tournament as the defending champion after he lifted the trophy last year with a total score of 20 under. He defeated Adam Hadwin to claim his trophy.

Tom Kim had five top-20 finishes throughout the PGA Tour season. This includes a runner-up finish at the Travelers Championship, where he scored 22 under 258 with 62, 65, 65, and 68 over the four rounds. He also had a T4 at the RBC Canadian Open and a T15 at the Genesis Scottish Open, where he scored 13 under 267 and 12 under 268, respectively.
