What is the 2025 PGA Tour World Feed? Know all about the latest introduction to the Tour

The PGA Tour is officially introducing the World Feed for the 2025 season. This is designed to give more access to international viewers as the sport continues to grow globally. While the Tour is still largely North America-centric, the broadcast will at least be much more accessible to those in different countries moving forward. Here's everything you need to know about it.

All about the PGA Tour World Feed

The World Feed's first official broadcast in 2025 will be a rather substantial tournament: the Players Championship in March. This is often unofficially called golf's fifth major, so the feed will be starting on a high note.

The proposed goal of this new endeavor is to allow the Tour and its international media partners to bring fans more customized coverage. The aim is also to share the stories of their international players, such as Rory McIlroy, Ludvig Aberg, Hideki Matsuyama, and several others.

There will be a customized graphics package and a dedicated international commentary team for the sole purpose of the feed. The new, live telecast will include weekly on-site reporters. Up to six dedicated cameras at certain FedEx Cup events will bring greater coverage of those international players.

It'll debut at the Players, but the World Feed will be produced for all remaining events on the 2025 schedule following that tournament. From March to September, every event will be broadcast.

Rick Anderson, PGA Tour chief commercial officer, said via the Tour website:

“We are excited to officially announce the upcoming launch of our PGA Tour World Feed and what it will represent for golf fans around the world. This is an important step – the first of many – as PGA Tour Studios comes online and we create more opportunities to showcase our world-class athletes and championships to an ever-growing audience.”

The Tour has been using an international feed for foreign viewers for two decades, but this has been a supplement of the US-based broadcast. Where the new feed differs is that it is specifically designed for the international audience instead of just provided for them.

Luis Goicouria, PGA TOUR senior vice president of media, said:

“The PGA TOUR is proud to give international golf fans exactly what they want – more coverage of their country’s favorite players each and every week. The opening of PGA TOUR Studios in 2025 allows for the development of all-new programming, including the World Feed, so we can bring international viewers closer to the action than ever before.”

This will also allow the PGA Tour to capture more content and create posts on their social media channels, ideally leading to better engagement across the board in 2025 and beyond.
