“What a day” – Max Homa over the moon as his favorite MLB team wins the World Series

Max Homa seems to be on cloud nine as his favorite MLB team, the Los Angeles Dodgers, won the World Series. The American golfer has been rooting for his favorite team since the World Series began. Finally, on October 30, the Dodgers defeated the Yankees by 7-6 and won the World Series with an impressive lead of 4-1.

They won four out of the five games in the series, with their only loss coming against the Yankees on October 29. As the LA Dodgers clinched the 2024 World Series Championship, Max Homa took to his X account to share a post celebrating their win. He wrote:

"IM SO GLAD I ROOTED FOR THE DODGERS!!!!!! Walker u are the best. Big sack. The boys in blue got it done! What a day."

A fan in the comment section wrote:

"Who sends spending gobs of money can't bring one happiness. #1billion"

To which, Homa replied:

"I SPENT ZERO DOLLARS!!!!!! (Says*)"

Max Homa is an avid fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers. He has been posting about them, cheering for them ahead of their games and even after the results for a while now. Before the Dodgers’ game on October 29, he posted cheering for the team to win the Championship, writing:

"Although I have really enjoyed rooting for the Dodgers, I hope tomorrow is the last day I root for them this year (Also Walker Buehler I 💙 u)."

Though the Dodgers lost on October 29, they ultimately triumphed on Wednesday, clinching the trophy.

Max Homa opens up about his favorite MLB player

Homa was in Japan last week for the Zozo Championship. He was particularly happy to play in the country as his favorite MLB player, Shohei Ohtani, is also from Japan.

During a press conference at the tournament, he dubbed it a "dream scenario" to watch his favorite player from Japan. Speaking of Ohtani, Homa said:

"It's really cool being here. Obviously, we have two Japanese players on the (Los Angles) Dodgers that are tremendous. One of which is (Shohei) Ohtani, who is the best baseball player I've ever seen."
"So it's quite cool to come here, I've actually seen quite a few times L.A.hats. So, it's quite neat to be in Japan when the best baseball player in the world is Japanese and you know, he is on the team....I root for. So, it's kind of a dream scenario," he added.

Max Homa put forward a decent performance at the 2024 Zozo Championship last week. He shot rounds of 73, 66, 67, and 66, finishing tied for 27th place. This season, Homa competed in 22 PGA events and had three finishes in the top 10.
