“What's wrong with pineapple?” – Fans jump in as LIV golfers discuss their favorite pizza toppings
LIV Golf shared a video of their golfers asking about the toppings they enjoy on pizza. The clip starts with the newest LIV Golf member, Danny Lee, who reveals his favorite pizza topping. Lee said:
"Pepperoni, pineapples, spicy with Italian sausage and a little bit of peppers on it."
Next comes Dean Burmester, who mentioned that he doesn't like pineapple, went ahead with jalapenos, while Thomas Pieters admitted he likes pineapple.
The food video received a lot of love from fans, who jumped into the comments section to write:
"Pineapple on pizzas is delicious."
Another one supported him and jotted:
"What's wrong with pineapple?"
Meanwhile, others wrote:
"Did he say jellopinos or yalllapinos?"
Some were not happy with the video and wrote:
"This is just silly, How about some info about the course and competition? I don’t like players because of their favorite pizza topping."
"LIV - Growing the game with pizza toppings."
"Wow. LIV barrel scrapping to find anything that could interest someone. Still failing."
"These 20 seconds are way more interesting than watching them play."
"No expectations, really" - LIV Golf player Phil Mickelson on playing at the 2023 Masters
LIV golfers are all set to share the same field with PGA Tour players in major tournaments. Despite the LIV players remaining barred from competing on the American tour, they will be allowed to play in major tournaments, starting with the first event in April.
The Masters is scheduled to take place next month and Phil Mickelson will also be joining the star-studded field of some of the best golfers in the world.
In a recent press conference, the three-time Masters winner was asked about his expectations from the tournament. The golfer quickly answered:
"No expectation, really. We are just looking forward to playing, competing, be part of it. People playing, competing in Masters are friends for decades and I am looking forward to seeing them again."
Although Mickelson has joined the tumultuous series, he has no bad blood with the PGA Tour players. The 52-year-old golfer has been playing golf for more than three decades and has many friends on the American tour.
He admitted that he wanted to enjoy the game, playing alongside his friends for decades.
Unfortunately, when Rory McIlroy competed in a DP World Tour event alongside the LIV golfers earlier this year, he was engaged in a war of words with Patrick Reed, who allegedly threw a tee at the Northern Irish golfer.
It would be interesting to see LIV and PGA Tour players playing on the same field amid the legal battle between the two series.
It is pertinent to note that LIV Golf sued the PGA Tour and the verdict will probably be announced this year.
