The title was decided in a one-hole playoff. Luke Kwon birdied the hole to become the inaugural Creator Classic champion.
Paige Spiranac: "I'm favorite to finish last"
During her appearance on the Fore Play podcast prior to the start of the Creator Classic, Paige Spiranac stated that she was the "favorite" to finish last because she is "bad under pressure.
This was part of what she said:
"I'm favorite to finish last...I'm really bad under pressure. I think it might be me [who finish last]".
The 31-year-old also shared her competitive expectations for the tournament.
"To not finish last, to not snap hook the first tee shot and to not lose any golf balls," she said.
While many of the Creator Classic participants had some experience in golf before becoming social media stars, Spiranac stands out as one of the most accomplished. She not only pursued golf professionally but also attempted to qualify for the LPGA Tour.
Spiranac began playing golf at the age of 12 after an injury forced her to give up gymnastics. As a golfer, she reached the top 20 in the world amateur rankings and earned a college scholarship through the sport.
After graduating from college, Spiranac played on the Cactus Tour and even won a tournament. She also showcased her talent on the international stage, making the cut at the Ladies European Tour's Women's Scottish Open.
Spiranac then tried to qualify for the LPGA Tour through Q-School, but was unsuccessful. Subsequently, she decided to forgo a career in professional golf and focus on creating content for social media.
Other notable golf careers among Creator Classic participants include champion Luke Kwon and Wesley Bryan, who has even won on the PGA Tour.
