When will the Masters 2023 Champions dinner take place?
The 2023 Masters is almost here. Ahead of the main tournament, which begins on Thursday, April 6, the Champions Dinner will take place. The Champions Dinner is an annual tradition ahead of the main event at Augusta National, to honor the defending champion in front of all the recent winners of the Masters.
The Champions Dinner was initiated by Ben Hogan in 1952 and since then it has been a tradition at Augusta's clubhouse on Tuesday night of tournament week, where the previous year's winner plays host and selects the entire menu.
Only former winners at the Masters alongside Augusta National Golf Club chairman Fred Ridley are invited to the Champions Dinner. For the first time, there will be the presence of a new fraction of professional golf, the LIV Golf at Augusta National. Several past champions are now members of the Saudi-backed circuit.
This year's Champions Dinner is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, April 4, when reigning winner Scottie Scheffler will be honored.
