Here's what Thitikul had to say after her third round performance at the Maybank Championship (via ASAP Sports):
"We are trying to put a show for all the fans here. You know, we are kind of a new generation coming up, because we are just only 20, like 19, 20s, just a new generation trying to be like all the generations that put on all the show for all the fans."
Defending champion Celine Boutier climbed four places on the leaderboard with five birdies and one bogey in the third round. The Frenchwoman is now tied for fifth place, just four shots off the lead.
Local amateur Mirabel Ting carded an 8-under 64 during the third round to move up 34 places on the leaderboard and into a tie for 10th place. Ting is ranked 8th in the world amateur rankings and currently plays for Florida State University in U.S. collegiate golf.
