Adam Hadwin could not keep up the pace of the first round and played for even par, with four birdies, two bogeys, and a double bogey. However, he remains in second place, tied with Viktor Hovland, who had five birdies and two bogeys (3 under).

Christiaan Bezuidenhout of South Africa had the best second round, finishing with six birdies and one bogey (5 under). As a result, he moved up to T4 on the leaderboard, moving up 22 spots. Meanwhile, the steepest drop was for Corey Conners, who played this Friday for a score of 4 over, to lose 17 places on the leaderboard and enter the weekend in T20.

The only amateur in the field, Jackson Koivun, made the cut after playing Friday with two birdies, two bogeys, and two double bogeys (2 over).
