Who is on the women’s golf USA team at the Paris Olympics?

The 2024 Paris Olympics women's golf will begin on Wednesday, August 7, at Le Golf National. Sixty players from different nations are competing for the gold medal in a 72-hole stroke play event.

While most of the countries have two players per team, the USA and South Korea have three players each in the field for the 2024 Olympics. Although the USA was eligible to take four players, it decided to go with three.

1) Nelly Korda

Nelly Korda is once again in action this week at the Paris Olympics. While last time it was all new for her, this time she has entered as a defending gold medalist.

In the Tokyo Olympics, Korda beat Mone Inami of Japan by one stroke to win the gold medal. She is once again a favorite to repeat history, as she has six wins this year, including five in a row. While Xander Schauffler failed to become a back-to-back gold medalist, Nelly has a chance to do so.


2) Lilia Vu

Lilia Vu is set to represent the USA for the first time at the Olympics. She is one of the favorites to win this week, considering her form.

Recently, Vu won the Meijer LPGA Classic and also made a runner-up finish at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship. She is currently ranked second in the world and has won five titles, including two Major championships.


3) Rose Zhang

Rose Zhang is set to make her Olympic debut this week as a third player of the USA contingent. She made her tour debut last year, and in a short time, she has become one of the top players on the LPGA Tour.

In less than two years of turning professional, Zhang has won two titles and three top-10s in Major championships. This year, she won the Cognizant Founders Cup.

Zhang is +1200 to win the gold medal at the Paris Olympics. It will be interesting to see how she performs in her debut.
