Lauren Coughlin fired a 1-under 71 on Sunday, July 28, to claim the 2024 CPKC Women's Open. She finished at 13-under after four rounds, beating Mao Saigo by two strokes.
Coughlin entered the final round with a four-stroke lead alongside Hae Ran Ryu. She carded three birdies and two bogeys to shoot her worst round of the week, but that didn't cost her the title.
The 2024 CPKC Women's Open was Coughlin's maiden LPGA Tour win, which came in her seventh year and on her 103rd start. Earlier this month, she had lost her chance at the Amundi Evian Championship after making back-to-back bogeys in the final round.
Saigo jumped to second after shooting a 69 on Sunday, while Ryu slipped to T3 after posting a 75. Another South Korean, Jenny Shin, finished joint third after firing a 5-under 67 in the final round of the 2024 CPKC Women's Open.
