It was a tightly contested matchup. Heading into the 14th hole, both Collin Morikawa and Ludvig Aberg had a share of the lead. Not far behind were Romain Langasque, Aaron Rai, and several others. Both Morikawa and Aberg's fortunes took a turn as they slipped down shortly after.

Rory McIlroy, the defending champion who earned a plaque for his victory in 2023, played some excellent golf this time as well. It was the first time he'd been on a PGA Tour course since his stunning collapse at the U.S. Open. However, he didn't show any signs of rust, managing to finish well.

Fueled by his near miss in 2023, Robert MacIntyre entered the final round with unfinished business to cater to. Last year, MacIntyre publicly declared he wouldn't be satisfied until he claimed the Scottish Open title himself. This time around, he played extremely well to earn that win. He eagled the 16th hole to draw level before scoring a birdie off the 18th to emerge victorious.

Only Min Woo Lee and Taylor Montgomery, of those who made the cut, did not finish at or below par. It was a pretty good outing for most golfers, as the cut line was set at three under par. Those who missed the cut included:

  • Hideki Matsuyama
  • Sepp Straka
  • Tom Hoge
  • Jordan Spieth
  • Billy Horschel
  • Will Zalatoris
  • Davis Riley
  • Rickie Fowler

Meanwhile, Vincent Norman, Christiaan Bezuidenhout, and K.H. Lee had to withdraw from the tournament.
