Why did Mark Steinberg dump Thomas Pieters? Real reason explored
Thomas Pieters was dumped by his agent Mark Steinberg after he joined the controversial LIV Golf. Pieters signed a deal with the controversial series last week after feeling left out by the PGA Tour. Although the exact reason for the switch remained under the radar, he was reportedly not happy with the Tour not inviting him to play in the Genesis Invitational.
The Belgian golfer tweeted to express his anger and soon after joined the LIV Golf. He landed in Mexico earlier this week for the opening tournament of the Saudi-backed series. However, he was shocked to learn that his long-term agent Mark Steinberg dumped him ahead of the tournament in Mayakoba.
"Pieters said that "he's just gone."
It's important to note that Mark also worked for Tiger Woods and the golfer has vociferously supported the PGA Tour and has often criticized LIV Golf in his interviews.
Steinberg has been a sports agent working in the industry since 1992. He is one of Tiger Woods' best friends and sits on the board of governors of the Tiger Woods Foundation.
The agent has also worked with the Annika Sorenstam Foundation and Cleveland Sports Commission. He is a partner at Excel Sports Management, founded by Jeff Schwartz.

"Sounds like tommy didn’t have a discussion with Steinberg. Stupid to have an agent and not discuss your career moves."
"Mark didn’t dump tiger when he cheated on his wife but he dumps Thomas for joining LIV? That’s a little odd."
