A quick recap of Xander Schauffele's performance at the Paris Olympics 2024

Xander Schauffele began his game at the 2024 Paris Olympics with a birdie on the first hole. He shot five birdies on the front nine and two birdies, along with a bogey on the back nine, settling for a score of 65.

In the second round, Schauffele started with a bogey on the second hole, followed by three consecutive birdies, and added one more birdie on the ninth hole. He shot three birdies and a bogey on the back nine to score 66.

In the third round, Schauffele recorded a bogey on the second hole and a birdie on the fourth. He then made a birdie and an eagle on the back nine for a score of 68.

Following the third round of the Paris Olympics, Schauffele reflected on his performance and said (via ASAP Sports),

"After my first few holes, yeah, I feel better than then for sure. It was a sticky start. Slow and kind of weird breaks. It was a bit of a mental battle there. Happy to bounce back pretty strong on the back nine. I was hoping to try and birdie -- when you mess up easy holes, you just have to try and birdie the hard ones. Happy with the back nine."

Jon Rahm is also in good form and playing well at the ongoing Paris Olympics golf event. He is in contention to win gold this week. He shot 67 in the first round, followed by another round of 66. Rahm carded 66 in the third round and took the lead in the game in a tie with Schauffele.
