Xander Schauffele ‘takes a wild guess’ on where a second Olympic gold medal would go, reveals where the 2020 gold is kept

Xander Schauffele, who is atop the leaderboard with Jon Rahm at the 2024 Paris Olympics, with a total of 14 under 199 after three rounds, revealed where he would keep a second Olympic gold medal.

In the opening round, Schauffele dropped seven birdies to end up at 65. In the next round, he made seven birdies to finish at 66, followed by a third round with two birdies and one eagle. His score at the end of Saturday was 68.

After three days at the Olympics, Xander Schauffele took a wild guess on where the Olympics gold medal would go if he won it. He said that the medal would go right next to the 2020 Olympics gold medal, which he won in Tokyo.

“I mean, I haven't gotten too far, thinking that far. But if I was to take a wild guess, I'm sure it would go right next to where the first one is,” Xander Schauffele said ( via ASAP Sports).

With that, he also mentioned where he has kept the 2020 Tokyo Olympics gold medal won in men's golf.

“My parents have it. I know it's safe. I can tell you that,” Schauffele added.

In the same interview, Schauffele talked about how the last two holes would be deciding holes, as they are the toughest. He asserted that these holes would add an exciting finish to the Olympics.

“They are really good finishing holes. It's going to make for an exciting finish to this Olympics, no doubt,” Xander Schauffele said.

Schauffele won the Olympic gold medal in 2021 for the US. He beat Rory Sabbatini, who finished T2 and received the silver, while C.T. Pan won the bronze.
