“Yeah, I like them” - Tony Finau misses LIV Golf defectors including Brooks Koepka

Tony Finau plays on the PGA Tour, and no amount of money can deceive his loyalty. Last year, most of the top-rated golfers signed a contract with the Saudi-backed LIV Golf Series after they were offered a hefty amount by the officials. However, some remain loyal to the PGA Tour and are still playing in their events.

Finau continued his journey on the PGA Tour and recently competed at the WM Phoenix Open, where he finished at 14 in the final that concluded on Sunday, February 12.

TMZ Sports asked Finau about the LIV golfers and whether he still misses them. In response, Tony Finau revealed that he does not have any grudges against them and loves them.

"Yeah, I like them, " Finau said before adding, "A lot of the international guys I miss, Carlos Ortiz, Abraham Ancer."

Tony went on to confess that he misses Brooks Koepka the most. The golfers are very good friends, and Finau loves to play with him.

Tony has had an amazing career while playing on the PGA Tour. Despite being offered undeniable money, Finau did not join LIV Golf. He explained:

"To me, at this point in my career, it’s so much about the satisfaction of winning golf tournaments and playing against the best players in the world on what I feel is the best tour in the world."

He went on to add:

“And the satisfaction that comes from it (PGA), no amount of money can buy. It’s just the fulfillment that I’m after, after all these years of working hard and now being at my best that I’ve ever been, to have the opportunity to reap the rewards.”

Tony Finau won more than $34 million in prize money while playing on the PGA Tour and is regarded as one of the most successful golfers in the world.

Finau's good friend Koepka is also very popular around the globe and is one of the most successful golfers. However, his career graph has repeatedly fallen downward in the last few years.

He missed the cut at the International Series last weekend and then went on to compete at the PIF Saudi International, where he finished 46th. Koepka will compete in the second season of LIV Golf, scheduled to start later this month in Mayakoba.

Koepka's rankings are also declining, as LIV golf points have not been added to the world rankings. He currently stands at number 78 in the OWGR, which is the lowest it has been in the last eight years.

Meanwhile, the legal battle between LIV Golf and the PGA Tour continues, with a verdict possibly announced this year.
