Spieth commits to Zurich Classic, picks partner
Jordan Spieth became the latest top-10 player to commit to playing at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans this year.
The tournament has adopted an interesting two-man competition with foursomes and four-ball rounds, and it received an added boost Friday.
Spieth became the seventh of the top 10 players in the world to commit to the event when he chose Ryan Palmer as his partner.

The Ryder Cup-style format has been adopted for the first time in a PGA Tour event since 1981.
The Zurich Classic usually struggles to get top players in its field, but the new format has helped entice big names.
The Zurich field will have 80 teams, which will then be cut to the low 35 teams after 36 holes. The event will have official prize money but not world-ranking points.
Jason Day, Rickie Fowler, Henrik Stenson and Justin Rose are among other players set to feature at the event starting April 27.
